Health safety instructions for Fin5 2021-orienteering week

Fin5 2021 – orienteering week health safety instructions in Posio and Kuusamo 11-16 July 2021

Due to the coronavirus situation, only pre-registered persons can participate in the Fin5- orienteering week. On-site registration is not possible. For this reason, please note the following before going to Fin5- Orienteering Week.

The actual registration stage for the competition series (H / D8-95) ends on Monday 31 May 21 at 11:59 pm and post-registration on Wed 23 June 2021 at 11:59 pm. After the above time, we will no longer be able to accept registrations. The start lists of the race series (without start times) can be found at the end of the registration period on the fin5 2021 -> Results page.

Race series have free start times except for the H / D16-21E series. This means that participants in the race series can choose their start time for each race day of the race week on 25.6. – 2.7. between 11:59 p.m. Thereafter, unselected departure times are determined at random.

Pre-registration for the open series fitness orienteering ends on Wed 23 June 2021 at 23.59.

Those who have registered for the open series can be seen on the fin5 2021.fi -> Results page. Open start times are used in open series fitness orienteering, which means that open series fitness orienteers can choose their start time for each race day of the race week on 25.6. – 2.7. between 11:59 p.m. Thereafter, unselected departure times are determined at random.

Post-registration for open series ends on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 11:59 pm – after this we can no longer accept registrations and on-site registration is no longer possible. In addition, for orienteers who have subsequently registered for the open series, departure times are set at random.

 In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus epidemic, the following services of the Competition Center will be different during this year’s orienteering week:

– The Muksula service (baby sitter place) is not used.

-> Take advantage of the optional start times for racing and open series.

-> Instead, the Labyrinth Action Point (for pre-school children) serves every race day.

– The washing place is not in use.

– There is no drinking point in the forest.

-> We recommend booking a drink bottle according to your orienteering performance especially if warm Day.

– There are no scoreboards in the competition center.

-> Online results are on fin5 2021.fi -> Results page.

– The dog park service is not available.

– Club tent sites can only be booked in advance by 31 May 21 seppo.linjakumpu@kev.fi. There are a limited number of places. It is forbidden to set up a club tent in the competition center without a marked place!

Before leaving for the Fin5 2021 orienteering week:

– We recommend downloading the Corona Flasher application in advance.

– You can only travel to the competition and to the Northeast as completely asymptomatic.

 

During the Fin5 2021 orienteering week:

– Follow the valid hygiene, safety interval and face mask recommendations throughout the trip from the home country to the Northeast and back.

– Face masks must be worn throughout the competition (excluding the orienteering performance of the orienteering week) and when moving in public places in the Northeast region.

– The use of cloth face masks is not recommended due to poor protective capacity !: Prefer a surgical mask or, for example, an even more effective FFP2 level mask (without valve) for bus transport.

– When traveling from your hometown to the Northeast and back to your hometown, we ask you to avoid unnecessary stops in public places.

– In the Northeast region, we ask you to minimize movement in public places and to stay in one place and in the same group throughout the trip.

– Only the necessary grocery shopping is done in the shop.

– As a rule, move only in your own accommodation group, when visiting a competition venue or elsewhere, for example, hiking, etc.

Fin5 during the 2021 navigation week:

– Follow the hygiene, safety interval and face mask recommendations at the competition center and the race village.

– Hand washing / use of hand gloves when entering public areas.

– Hand washing / use of hand gloves when arriving at the customer service point (eg Fin5-info, restaurant and café outlets, shops, etc.).

– Keeping safety distances both indoors and outdoors. Preferably 2 meters, when possible.

– Face masks must be worn throughout the event when moving around the competition center or competition area.

– The use of fabric face masks is not recommended due to their poor protective capacity !: Prefer a surgical mask or, for example, an even more effective FFP2 level mask (without a valve) for bus transport.

– The navigator must use his own face mask:

-> By bus from the P-areas to the competition center and back

-> On departure and departure (before departure)

-> Immediately upon arrival at the finish, the face mask included in the orienteering performance must be put on.

— You do not need to use a face mask during navigation

– The navigator is responsible for the acquisition and use of the face mask.

The arrangements for the Fin5 2021 orienteering week will comply with the restrictions imposed by the authorities at the time (including assembly restrictions), so we will update the competition instructions and corona guidelines as necessary.
