Venla Taulavuori, Alatornion Pirkat, won the women’s main series on a distance of 8.3 km.

-Feeling good. There were few errors. Really great terrain in all respects. Today it was important to look at what is essential to read, Taulavuori rejoiced.

SK Pohjantähti’s Marttiina Joensuu was second with a small difference before her club friend Sofia Haajanen.

– There were small mistakes, I was sure to proceed. I liked it terribly, said Haajanen, who was third in the day’s competition.

After two races, the women’s series will be led by Elisa Mattila (LS-37) with a difference of 35 seconds before Joensuu. Haajanen and Taulavuori are currently competing for the third place of the week.

The overwhelming winner of the men’s series, more than six minutes before the next, was Ruslan Glebov from Ukraine, who came to Finland from last week´s World Championship competition.

– Today was smaller and more readable, which suits me compared to yesterday, where I had to rely more on direction. After all, the terrain here is different from what is in Central Europe, a happy Ukrainian said.

At the same time, Glebov also took the lead, well over six minutes, in the overall competition of Fin5 Orienteering Week.

Second in the 11.3-kilometer race was Einari Heinaro (HS) and third Arttu Syrjäläinen (HS)

. – It’s okay. It ended with a bigger hook and small curves. Fighting victory, however, because the physical mood was not so good. However, the control points clicked in place as I went more moderately than yesterday, Heinaro said.

The second of the whole week is yesterday’s winner Samu Heiska (TuME) before Heinaro.
